We totally killed it last week; let’s do even better this time!
Sherlock’s nightmare. Shit happens.
unfortunately, as you probably already know, mads mikkelsen
“There’s a real affection there,” Mikkelsen says. “I don’t think Hannibal just likes Will. I think he almost loves him.”

Can we just all appreciate Hannibal Lecter’s style right now? In a time where the Mad Men-esque lean, skinny-tie silhouette has set the standard, here comes Hannibal Lecter with his fat, wide-spread cutaway collar, his double Windsor that’s so thick it looks like a fucking cravat and his matching waistcoats. You guys, what he’s doing here is pretty radical for fashion, which is why I think he pings a lot of people as strange-looking, and why his suits are often read as ‘ugly’. It’s not that he’s doing it wrong, it’s that he’s doing it so very different from what our eyes are used to right now.
Very true! I’ve been thinking the same thing for a while now.
The style right now definitely leans towards thin ties, thin lapels, everything very thin and tapered and slimming. Not only that, but we always see him in three-piece suits, which deviates even further from the “long and slim” silhouette that’s been in style for the last decade or two (or actually much longer - the 1960s in particular).
They convey strength, wisdom, and a certain old-fashionedness - all qualities you could readily use to describe Mads’ portrayal of Hannibal Lecter. They make you appear broader, not more streamlined.
He practically oozes a sort of old-world congeniality and poise that you don’t really see much of anymore (even in media, and *especially* in the real world), and I absolutely love it. He’s almost inhumanly sophisticated.
- And like you said, it’s by no means “wrong”, just a fairly bold and very well-pulled-off deviation from the norm. Very gentlemanly, very classy, very smart. Very Hannibal Lecter, if you ask me.

Speaking as a current 22-year-old, Conan nails it on the head.
ugh. where’s all the GOOD music these days. it’s all just rapping and beibers and directions. i miss the days where i could go into the local tavern and hoist a mighty flagon of mead to a jaunty tune on the lute of a young bard
only a real 15th century kid will get this
- love yourself like kanye loves himself
- believe in yourself like kanye believes in himself
- know you’re the shit like kanye knows he’s the shit
This is actually really great because Kanye West has fought depression and suicide this sort of confidence worked for him and wow Kanye West. Anyone who is depressed, believe you are the Kanye Best.
